Woodette Denene McDougald McEvers, 79, recently of Brookdale Living Center in Waco, Texas passed away in peaceful repose May 17, 2022.

Memorial Service: 10AM Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Lake Shore Funeral Home

She was born to Woodrow and Margie Paralee (Jones) McDougald July 4, 1942 in Ft. Stockton, Texas in Pecos County.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and younger sister Pamela Kay McDougald Fowler, as well as her grandson Michael Drew Bishop.

Mrs. McEvers is survived by her husband of 62 years, Noel Wayne McEvers; daughter, Deanna McEvers Singletary and husband Chad; son, Corwin Blake McEvers and wife Kellye; son, Jay Wayne McEvers and wife Louise; granddaughter, Kymberly Sams and husband Virgil Uptmore; great-grandson, Bryan Garza and great-granddaughter, Chloe Garza. She is also survived by her younger brother, Woodrow Craig McDougald and wife Faye and her brother-in-law, John Fowler as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

So many wonderful memories flood back to me.. you playing “Ode to Billy Joe” and “Spanish Eyes” while I turned the sheet music and sang along. I love you Momma.
