Wanda Willis, 85, of Waco, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020.

Service Information: Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 3, at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, at the funeral home. Due to current COVID-19 mandates, seating will be limited.

Wanda was born June 14, 1935 in Waco, to William and Lera Ashley. She grew up in Rock Creek, Texas and attended school in China Spring. Over the years, Wanda enjoyed boating, fishing and crocheting, but most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an adamant Texas Ranger baseball fan and knew all the players by heart. She was able to call them by name, stats, strengths and weaknesses. She loved all baseball and never missed a Ranger game on TV!

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Billy Roscoe Ashley and Johnny Ray Ashley; son-in-law, Brad Campbell; and infant great-grandson, Noah Sowers.

Survivors include her children, David Hill and wife, Judy, of Waco, and Debbie Campbell of Prescott, AZ; grandchildren, Leah Castle and husband, Brandon, of San Diego, CA, Julie Sowers and husband, Aaron, of Phoenix, AZ, Kenneth Hill and wife, Keri, of North Richland Hills, Krystal Canales and husband, Kyle, of Frisco and Kacie Jumper and husband, Kory, of Temple; great-grandchildren, Kayle and Makenna Castle, Grant, June, and Ellie Sowers, and Shiloh Jumper; step-grandson, Tory Campbell and wife, Heather and step-great-grandchildren, Braiden and Willow Campbell.

  2. David and I always enjoyed having Wanda in our home when family gatherings brought us all together. Her presence was delightful, always cordial and fun at any event. I will miss all of those great times.
    My heartfelt sympathy to David William and Judy who took such good care of his mother and to Debbie and her sweet family who loved her so much.

  3. I used to live at William Booth Apartments where Wanda lived at and I always visit her watching TV and talking and visit her when her son David was there to see her
