Wade F. Nelson, 74, of Laguna Park, most recently of Waco, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008 at his residence with his wife of 31 years, Thelma, by his side. Funeral services will be 2PM Monday, September 8th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Craig Godby officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7PM Sunday at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Mr. Nelson will be available for viewing starting at 1PM Sunday. Wade was born February 14,1934, the youngest of ten children born to Dan and Mamie Nelson. He graduated from West High School, he worked for General Tire for 30 years, retiring in 1986.. He enjoyed the lake, and moved to Lake Whitney in 1978. He enjoyed skiing and riding his seadoos with his most precious sidekick, granddaughter, Kendra Raye Griffin, who will miss him terribly. He was a Mason. He helped his wife for 30 years as a volunteer for the Youth Division of the Heart of Texas Fair, his title was
