Sirila De La Rosa Cardenas, 74, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023.

Visitation: 6 – 8PM Wednesday, July 12 at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Rosary begins at 7PM.

Funeral Service: 11AM Thursday, July 13 at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Sirila was born Sirila De La Rosa March 18, 1949, in Harlingen, TX. She was the daughter of Wilebaldo Rosas Sanchez and Maria Del Socorro Briagas Estrada. She spent her childhood in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi.

She would later move to West Liberty, Iowa, where she gave birth to her loving children, Juan Jose Cardenas Jr., and Socorro Cardenas. They would move to Waco, TX in 1982, where she would work for Pilgrim’s Pride for many years until retirement. She would enjoy her days taking care of her many plants that she was so very proud of. The extreme joys of her life came when her grandchildren, Cristian and Sebastian were born. Sirila would spend the rest of her days loving and caring for her grandchildren and her precious little dog, Mini. She would spoil all of them so very much. Her love for them all was so great that a love like that would never exist again.

Sirila was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Socorro Cardenas and her parents, Wilebaldo Rosas Sanchez, and Maria Del Socorro Briagas Estrada.

She is survived by her son, Juan Jose Cardenas Jr.and wife Nelly Cardenas; grandsons, Cristian Eduardo Cardenas, and Sebastian Jai Cardenas; brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly.
