Sanjuana (Jane) R. Thompson passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023.

Visitation: 5 – 8PM Thursday, August 31 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel
Funeral Service: 10AM Friday, September 1 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel
Interment: 11AM Friday, September 1 at Oakwood Cemetery

Jane was born May 06, 1957, in Caldwell, TX. She was the third child of Vicente and Sabina Ramirez. Jane lived in Snook, TX with her mother and siblings over the years. They moved to College Station, TX in 1974 and she graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1975.  She started working in the MCI Department at Texas State Technical College in Waco, TX in 1987 where she fell in love with video editing and photography. She later started taking one class a semester until she received her Associates Degree of Applied Science in Media Communication and Information in August of 2002.

Jane met the love of her life Mike in February 1985, and they were married September 1, 1985. Jane and Mike had three children altogether Daphne, Martin, and Rae Dawn.  September 1 they would have celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary.

Jane was very involved in her work at TSTC and the students she taught. She was a sponsor of the TSTC Hispanic Club for many years. She loved her students like they were her own. When she wasn’t devoting her time to her students, she was attending all her grandchildren’s school/sporting events/etc. She enjoyed family gatherings and loved going to garage sales on the weekends. Jane also enjoyed going dancing every Thursday night with her husband.   Jane enjoyed life to the fullest.  She loved to dance and always loved a great laugh. Her husband Mike and her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She will be missed by all.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents Vicente and Sabina Ramirez and her brother Juanito Ramirez.

Jane is survived by her husband, Mike Thompson; children, Daphne, Martin, Rae Dawn and her husband Elliott Richardson; grandchildren, Darian, Marques, Jayden, Jayda, Enicia, Daiylon, Kaiyson and Braiylon; sisters, Cecilia Grice, Trini and her husband John Perez, Mary Louise and her husband Tim Storey; sister-in-law, Pat Ramirez; sister-in-law, Patsy and husband Fred Bartz; sister-in-law, Peggy Freeman; sister-in-law, Sissy and her husband Dirk Talbot, and sister-in-law Norma Thompson.

    I have known Jane since I was a student at TSTC in 1988. Later, I worked with Jane at the College. Jane was always friendly and helpful. She had a beautiful smile. I will miss her but heaven has gained an angel.
