Ruby E. Case, 90, of China Spring, passed away Friday, June 27, 2008 at her residence.
Services will be 2pm Monday, June 30th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4 to 6PM Sunday, June 29th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco. Mrs. Case will be available for viewing starting at 1pm Sunday. Ruby was born April 29, 1918 in Nemo to Will and Lucy (Pugh) Rice. She married Virgil Case on October 12, 1935.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Billy D. Case; three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include son, Charles Case and wife, Cheryl of Alvarado; grandchildren, Cindy Bohannon and husband, David of China Spring, Cody Pierce and husband, Ethan of Waxahachie, and Carren Ridge and Husband, Andy of New Braunfels; great grandchildren, David Bohannon, Jr., Kristi Bohannon, Wesley Pierce, Autumn Pierce, Joey Ridge and Jacob Ridge; great-great grandchildren, Jordan, Jeffrey and Dustin Nevarez; sisters, Marguerite Dempsey, Christine Marsh and husband, J.D., Doris Morris, and Shirley Kettler and husband, Billy; brothers, Gene Rice and wife, Bonnie, Orville Rice and wife, Billie, and Wayne Rice and wife, Sara; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Bohannon, Sr., Ethan Pierce, Andy Ridge, David Bohannon, Jr., Chris Oliver, and Kevin Bohannon.

Ruby will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She always had a loving heart and warm smile for everyone. Her generous and giving nature always put others needs first. Ruby had a wonderful sense of humor that she shared with others. She loved life and the time that she shared with her husband, Virgil, and the special moments spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruby was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was the fabric that held her family together and her wisdom and strengths will continue to be the tie that binds.

The family would like to give special thanks to Debbie Stewman, Ivey Fannin, and Angie Sawyer, her great granddaughter, Kristi Bohannon, along with Texas Home Health Hospice for their caring and help through this difficult time.
