Rodney Williams, 70, of Lake Limestone, formerly of Lacy Lakeview, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012. A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM, December 14 at Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff with Rev. Lori Cotton officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, December 13, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Rodney was born February 23, 1942 in West Union, West Virginia to Cincil and Mabel (Goodwin) Williams. On July 15, 1966 he married the former Patsy Daily.

A machinist by trade, Rodney worked at Ultramation, Inc. for 31 years. He coached Little League and was a volunteer fireman in Lacy Lakeview, as well as serving on Lacy Lakeview’s City Council. Rodney’s favorite times were spent at the lake with his family and friends cooking out barbeque, singing karaoke, and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Williams; his father, Cincil Williams of West Virginia; and Buzz Williams, his best 4-legged friend in life.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Darlene Williams of Jewett; sons, Jerry Don Williams and wife, Brandi of Leroy and Ricky Lynn Williams of Robinson; grandsons, Danny and Bobby Williams of Leroy and Brandon Williams of Lacy Lakeview; granddaughter, Brittany Williams of Robinson; brothers, Maurice Williams of Florida and Terry Williams of West Virginia; and sister Madine Dickerson of West Virginia.

The family would like to offer special thanks for the help and support of so many friends in the Waco and Lake Limestone area.
