Robert was a very special person. He taught me everything there is to know about Optics, which helped me in my career. We worked together for four years, and he was my mentor and was like a dad to me. Always made me laugh, and I love him very much. Robert Masters will be greatly missed.

  3. I will always love you Uncle Rob. You were the world to me and my boys. You had a heart of gold and anyone that knew you, knows this to be true. LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART……!!!!

    To Robert’s family,
It has been my honor to know Robert when I worked at TSO. I met Denise there when she and Robert had just started dating! As a fellow Trojan, I was a classmate with Nancy. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Prayers for peace, strength and comfort for all.

There will never be a better eye glass adjuster!!! There will never be a calmer individual than Robert. He was always the same…many times working late or working past his lunch hour to help a customer. We considered him to be one remarkable man. We were his customers for more than 25 years. Robert will definitely be missed.

For years we have known Robert, and always enjoyed talking/joking around with him while at the Optical Dispensary. He could always adjust/fix just about any pair of glasses we presented to him. And he didn’t waste time to tell me, (or spare feelings – LOL), when the new eyewear I was searching for wasn’t quite right! We will miss boating discussions, and discussions in general, with our friend. Godspeed. May you rest in peace.

  16. My thoughts and Prayers are with you all….We will all see our loved ones in the near future ….God Bless

  17. I’m your oldest sister even though you like to tell people I was your older sister. We have had ups & downs as we have grown up through the years. I am so happy I had you as a big brother. You know you don’t have to worry about Dad & Denise we’ll still be there as we have in the past. All you have to do now is rest & be at peace without pain. Give Mom , Billy,Joe & Alex a hugs for us. Love you forever. Harriett

  18. I’m reminded every day how much Robert taught me about adjusting and repairing glasses. I know that I wouldn’t be working where I am now if it wasn’t for his help. I will always consider him one of my mentors and greatest teachers.

  22. I had the pleasure of working with Robert at the Optical Dispensary for two years and I will always remember him as truly One of a Kind. He was the first one there every morning rain or shine, good day or bad. He gave everyone who asked for him his full attention and made them feel important and cared about. He taught us so much as opticians and I always knew when there was a repair I had trouble with I could ask for his help and even if he was busy he would find a minute to come and help me and not make me feel like a burden. He cared about our families and made us feel more like family than just coworkers and that means so much. I will miss his smile and his humor as well as his friendship and kindness, and I know a lot of others will as well. I pray for his wife Denise and all of his family and friends. It was rare to hear Robert complain but I know that he is free of all pain and in paradise now. God Bless You, Robert. Rest In Peace.

  23. God speed my friend. I’m gonna miss that strange sense of humor! Praying for peace for the family.

  24. Ive been at Optical Dispensary for about 10 months. I met Robert and got to kno him for about 3weeks before he became ill. He was very good at what he did and took it very serious. Everyone that came.in there and still does loves him not only for his work but his personality too. There have been people literally walk out because he isnt there to adjust there glasses lol. That says alot!! I wish i would have gotten to nknow him more and learn from.the best but sometimes unexpected things happen to us that we cannot change, but have to learn to accept. Im very sorry for everything your family has and is going through but i hope in time ur pain will ease and your memories of him will bring smiles to your face. And knowing hes pain free now makes it a little easier to accept 🙂 your family will be in my prayers**

  25. To Denise and family I just want you to know how sorry I am for your loss. May God be with you and give you needed strength at this time.

    Dear Denise & Family:

I am so sorry to hear about Robert. I was a customer of Robert for many years. There was no one who could adjust your glasses like him. He was always so kind and helpful and fun to know.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Masters Family.

  30. I will miss you Robert. I always enjoyed visiting with you.

  31. Denise and family, I was so sad to read about Robert. I hope all the good memories you have will help you in the coming days. God’s blessings on all of you.

  32. I’m going to miss Uncle Rob a bunch. We were planning on coming back in April this year to be able to spend time away from the lake and more with "the Masters Street" as I remembered it.

When Rob had the full beard in the 90s, he used to have this wolf man mask and playfully scare me every now and then. Because of that, whenever I see an old horror movie with the Wolfman, I can’t help but think of those times. He’s always going to be my uncle and like granny, he’ll always be remembered.

I’m glad I called him last week to see how he was doing. I felt really guilty for putting it off but I just never knew when I could catch him available. I just happened to call last week because I knew he was with pop and wanted to tell him I loved him and we’d see him soon. That’s hard, but my last memories of talking to him were good.

I’m really happy that he confirmed he was back in the right place with God. It might not feel like it today or tomorrow, but a time will come when that decision will pay off for all of us who believe. A family is only temporarily split apart through this life and there’s hope in a new life where there will never be suffering again.

    John 11:25
Jesus said to her [and us all],

  33. Josh, I am so sorry about the loss of your Dad. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May your wonderful memories help you thru this difficult time.

  34. Our hearts are filled with sadness for all of the family. We feel we have all lost a dear family member. May we all remember that our Father in heaven offers strength and comfort to us during this time. We will continue to pray for all of us to be wrapped in God’s Love. We love all of you.

  35. Thanks for all you taught me at Optical Dispensary you will be missed. Thoughts and prayers are with the Family during this time of loss.

  36. Rev. Gary Kleypas

It is not only how we live but how we die that speaks of who we are and what our faith is about. Robert was a "teacher" in his dying as he was not concerned for himself but would speak so kindly and positive of others. So very weak but so strong in his thoughts for others! May his strength in dying be a comfort to the family and friends in their living. Robert most definetly echoes these words that "surley goodness and mercy followed me all the days of my life and I dwell in the house of the Lord forever." May God comfort the family in this time of grief with the good news of the hope we have through Christ’s own death and resurrection.

  37. rhonda rostockyj and Joe

I love you with all my heart!
    Rhonda
