Ramona was born in Mart, Texas in 1947, to Mitchell and Laura Andrews. She graduated from Waco High School in 1966 and earned an associate degree from McLennan Community College. She married James (Jim) Alfred Carnes on June 20, 1980.

Ramona was a person who never met a stranger and always had a smile. She spoke to everyone, making friends wherever she went. She and Jim enjoyed traveling the country and being outdoors. Ramona was enthusiastic about taking pictures, cooking, and researching family histories. She enjoyed visiting with her friends and meeting up with her high school group for lunch each month. She adored her family and loved every second spent with them. She was quick to brag and show them off any chance she could.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Carnes; parents, Mitchell and Laura Andrews; sisters, Melinda (Wells) Davis and Dorothy (Wells) Butler; brothers, Kenneth Wells and Bobby Breland; son-in-law, Joe Cleboski; and grandson, Frank Cleboski.

Ramona is survived by eight children, Angie Cleboski of Cibolo, Thomas Carnes and wife Sherri of Waco, Jacqueline Wilkinson and husband Ken of Waco, Janet Merlen and husband Shawn of Utah, Sherry Foster and husband Scott of Louisiana, Carol Crymes and husband Bruce of Louisiana, James Carnes and wife Amanda of Louisiana, Amanda Malone and husband Brian of Louisiana; 32 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 21 great-great grandchildren; brother, Johnny Wells and wife Donna of Mineral Wells; sisters, Buena McGee of Arlington and Sue Reedy of Baytown; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and her dog, Luna.

Ramona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who was always there when we needed her. She will be deeply missed. She has left our lives but will never leave our hearts.
