Paul Soto Marquez, 85, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

Service Information: Private family services were held.

Paul was born November 11, 1934 in Waco, Texas to Joe and Amelia (Soto) Marquez.  He served as Staff Sergeant in the Army Reserves and also was a Restaurant owner of Casa De Gabriel for over 16 years. Paul was a Machinist and retired from Caldwell Electric. He enjoyed music and was a talented Saxophone player in several Tejano bands.

He loved family gathering activities and especially enjoyed family trips to Shreveport, Louisiana at El Dorado. Tejano dances were also a favorite too involving dancing with wife, daughter and nieces. He was a loving, caring and devoted family man. He will always be in our hearts and forever missed.

Paul was preceded in death by brother, Joe “Chito” Marquez Jr.; and parents, Joe Sr. and Amelia Soto Marquez,

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Faye R. Marquez; daughters, Amelia Maria Marquez, Gloria Guardiola and spouse Jesse; grandsons, Gabriel Guardiola, Paul Guardiola and spouse, Sherri; great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Logan, Kennedy Guardiola; step-great-grandson, Christopher Trainer; brother, Tony Marquez and wife, Faye.
