Oscar Salas Perez, 57, of Waco, found peace and spread his wings on March 21, 2024

Celebration of Life: 2 ~ 4PM  Monday, April 1st  at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel

Oscar was born August 15, 1966, in Mexico to Francisco Ortiz Perez and Monica Salas. As a young man he permanently moved to the United States, but would still visit family often, especially on holidays. Oscar was a well-respected and loved man that enjoyed life and loved his family, especially his daughter, Lauren. She was his best friend and vice versa. You would usually find them every Saturday eating breakfast at La Familia Restaurant and walking around the flea market. If he wasn’t with Lauren, you could find him hanging out having a great time or working on cars with his best friend, Mike Gutierrez. Oscar also loved his horses; they were like his other children. He was a true Cowboy.

Oscar was a Master Plumber and was good at his trade. He worked for Lochridge Priest for over twenty years, until changing jobs to go work for Capstone Mechanical in 2022. He was well respected at his jobs and any company would be lucky to have had him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Ortiz Perez and Monica Salas; brother, Francisco Jorge Perez Salas.

Oscar is survived by his daughter, Lauren Perez of Robinson; sisters, Sivia Perez Salas and husband Cresencio Limones, Graciela Perez Salas and husband Jose Haros Camacho; brothers, Abel Perez Salas and wife Elva Montreal, Rene Perez Salas and wife Leticia Moreno; special friend, Ana Montes; along with many nieces, nephews, his loving family, and lifelong friends.
