Condolence Messages

  1. Nancy was my supervisor at Sears back in the late 80’s, when I was a struggling graduate student. I truly have never met a kinder, more gracious individual. I have not seen her since 1990, but when I saw her picture in the obituary, happy memories came flooding back. She was one of those rare people who spread light wherever they go. She was a blessing to me, and to many others, and I hope this thought comforts you in your sorrow.

    God bless.

  2. Kristen just wanted to tell you how sorry I am about your Mothers passing. My thoughts are with you and your family. Love Carla Welsh

  7. In the late 80’s I worked at Sears in Waco. I have always cherished the memories of many people I worked with there, and Nancy is one of those favorite memories. She was a wonderful person to know, and even years later when I would go into Sears she would recognize me and say hello, calling me by name, even though I only worked there about 2 years.

I know she will be missed. I will always remember her fondly.

  8. As a high school classmate of Nancy’s I have some great memories of her. I remember Nancy’s birthday parties we had at Elmo’s roller rink and of course she was a great athlete in high school playing basketball on several state tournament teams at Oakland High School. It was great to see her at our 50 year class reunion in 2006. I know she will be missed by her family, friends and former classmates. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time. I am so sorry about hearing that Nancy has passed.
I remember when I first saw Nancy. She was roller akating at her parent’s rink. This was way back when we were probably 10 years old. I admired what a great skater she was.
    Sincerely,
    Karen Harris

I know it will be difficult for her family to accept the empty place that Nancy left in each of your hearts.

I am very sad to hear the news. Nancy hired me for my first job, working at the Waco Sears in the credit department in 1987 while I was in college. She was such a wonderful supervisor and person! She had such a great knack with the customers and tirelessly worked the customer service department. She really made a wonderful and positive impact on my life. My heart goes out to you both and her grandchildren. Rachel

  16. Dear Girls and Family, I know this has been a difficult week for you. Your beautiful Mother is no longer with us, but only in wonderful memories. May you feel God’s comfort at this time. Rae Peoples
