Mitchell Ross Smith, 75, of China Spring passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022. He was born January 31, 1947, in Waco.

Memorial Service: 10 AM Friday, December 16, 2022 at Lake Shore Funeral Home

He was full of love and generosity, if you needed the shirt off his back, it was yours. He had a deep love for his dogs and always had a dachshund by his side. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran, and a loyal L3 employee until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Jo Smith; father, Malcolm Smith; mother, Mardelle Krebbs; brother, Wayne Smith; and grandson, Layton Lee Smith.

He is survived by son, Michael Smith and wife Dee Ann of Republic, MO; daughter, Sherry Beeman and husband Robert of China Spring, TX; sister in law, Missy Waters; niece, Abby Waters; grandchildren, Haley, Austin, Makayla, Avori, Addison Smith, JoLee and Jake Beeman; great-grandson, Liam; his beloved cousins, Debbie and Kenny Baird and Carla and Jay Frazier; and the one that misses him most, his little dachshund, Presley.

Mitchell will be greatly missed.

  4. Well God has taken a great guy, I didn’t know Mitch like the family and friends that surrounded him. I knew his wife’s family, she was my first cousin. I send my deepest prayers and condolences in God’s name amen 🙏
