Mattie Lee Newell , 86, of Waco, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
Visitation: 2-4pm Monday, April 29, 2024 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.
Graveside Service: 10am Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Moore Cemetery, 5137 Gholson Road, Chalk Bluff, TX 76705.
Mattie was born on March 25, 1938. She was a sweet and kind person who loved her fur babies. Mattie traveled the United States driving an 18-wheeler for a living. Most recently she retired from Walmart after 25 plus years where she had many friends.
In this time of mourning, we remember Mattie, who is survived by her loving husband, Ron Newell; children, Wanda Grusendorf and husband John, Clifford Caldwell, Richard Oswald; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, as well as the memory of her daughter Bethel Bass.

Very nice lady and co-worker at Walmart #1254.
She would stop and help any customer when asked. A real Customer Service employee. She cared and went above and beyond her job duties. May she rest in peace .
