Mary Jane Guerra

Mary Jane Guerra 64, of Waco, passed away peacefully after unforeseen factors took over her health, for which we prayed for the best. But unfortunately God’s will spoke on her life on February 27, 2020 in Waco.

A Celebration of Janie’s life will be 6PM Thursday, March 5th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.

Mary Jane was born June 24, 1955 in Waco Texas to Lala Sanchez. She was beautifully known to most by Janie. She loved to dance and listen to music. She loved to sew and cook. She would always make sure you had something to eat even if it was her last. She loved family and took care of everyone that she could. No matter the situation she always looked passed everything and welcomed everyone with open arms. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and most of all, grandmother. On her final days she decided to let God do his will in her life. With no more surgeries and no more pain, she peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Ascension Providence Health Center in ICU.

There will never be a day that she is forgotten. Her loved ones that are here will remember her and keep her spirit alive for years to come. As God’s word says he will never leave us nor forsake us. May she walk into heaven with her arms wide open as she is greeted by our Lord God, her mother, sister and aunt and uncle. And may she forever live in God’s kingdom as she watches over us all and guide’s us as needed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lala Sanchez; sister, Joanna Salazar; and uncle, Carmen Rosales; and aunt, Louise Vasquez.

She was survived by four children, Joseph Diaz, 47, Teresa Ann Guerra, 45, Tina Guerra, 44, Michael Guerra, 39, Alexander Morales, 32; 14 grandchildren, Joseph-Cruz, Arthur, Veronica, Thalea, Michael, Lenora, MiAngelica, Alex Jr. , Jordan, Lilly, Mikaela, Nevaeh, Ayden, and Zoey; 7 great grandkids; four siblings, Tressa Aranda, Michael Rosales, Rita Hinojosa, and Sam Aguirre; and lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

To all family and friends, all donations may be made to Veronica Guerra, Janie’s granddaughter, address: 6524 Alford Dr. Apt. D Waco Texas 76710, phone number: 254-733-2327. Also feel free to make donations through your choice of business and send to Lake Shore Funeral Home for Janie’s service.
