Marty Porter, age 60, of Elm Mott gained his wings early Thursday morning, June 16, 2023.

Visitation: 5 –  7pm Tuesday, June 20th at Lake Shore Funeral Home

Funeral Service: 2pm Wednesday, June 21st at Lake Shore Funeral Home

Marty was born November 3, 1962 in Waco, Texas to Frank and Waynette (Mayberry) Porter. He attended school at Connally ISD. On December 7, 1981 he married the love of his life, Carolyn Roberts. Marty loved spending time outdoors, fishing trips to Port Aransas and catching up with his many life-long friends. His greatest joy was spending time and spoiling his grandchildren.

Marty was preceded in death by his grandparents, Christine and Wayne Mayberry and his sister, Christy Barton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Porter; daughters, Candus Scott, Cassandra Wronske and husband Jarred; son, Martin (Bubba) Porter and girlfriend Leah Thompson; brother, Tony Porter; grandchildren, Cheyenne Snelson, Bryce Ballentine, Zander Howard, Madison Scott, Samantha Scott and Braxton Porter; numerous nieces and nephews; special fuzzy friends, Red, Ivy, Missy and Boots as well as a host of life-long friends.

The family would like to thank all of Marty’s friends for their care and compassion, especially his flea market friends.
