Mack was born on October 31, 1951, in Spokane, Washington, to Mack and Loretta (Baenan) Anderson. Mack’s mother passed away in 1957 and he was lovingly raised by step-mother, Betty Anderson.
Because his dad was in the Air Force, Mack spent his youth in many places. He fondly remembered living in Phalsburg, France, and Tampa, Florida. When his dad retired from the military in 1966, the family moved to Bellmead, Texas, where he attended La Vega High School and graduated in 1970.

On January 8, 1972, he married the love of his life, Mary Ann Olsovsky, in Abbott, Texas. They were blessed to celebrate 52 years of marriage this year. Soon after graduation, Mack began working for Jake and Simone Bauer who he greatly respected at H&B Packing. He worked there for about 35 years until his early retirement. Then in 2008 he had the opportunity to begin working in the service department at Chevrolet of West, in West, Texas. He began as a service writer, eventually becoming Service Manager and then Fixed Operations Director. He retired in November of 2019. Mack was very grateful to the various owners of the dealership for the opportunity to work in the vehicle service department.
Mack was a loving husband, father, Pops, brother, uncle and friend. He is remembered for his sense of humor and ability to make others laugh. You could always find Pops at his happiest cooking outdoors surrounded by his family. He also had many happy memories at steak cook-offs or cooking for the shop. But most of all, he loved everything that had to do with his 4 grandkids.

He was preceded in death by parents, Mack and Loretta Anderson; step-mother, Betty (Boykin) Anderson; and sister, Claudine Noel Anderson. Mack is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; sons, Mark Anderson and wife Monica and Matt Anderson and wife Kourtney; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Maxwell, Eli, and Luke all of Waco, Tx. He is also survived by his sisters, Patsy Hargrove and husband Roy of Blum, Pam Wilson of Chalk Bluff, Bethea Dove of Chalk Bluff, and Paulette Anderson of Waco; brothers, Raymond Anderson and wife Deborah of Lorena, Paul Anderson and wife Marilyn of Anna, and Brian Anderson of Waco and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mack’s family is very thankful to Evangelina Hernandez of Caring Senior Service for her steadfast love and dedicated care of Mack during his illness. We are forever grateful to her. The family also wishes to thank Chelle, Crystal, Jenny, and Morgan who cared for him through Community Healthcare of Texas.

The family wishes to also thank his many relatives and friends that have remained constant in their love and respect for him and Mary Ann through prayers, cards, texts, phone calls, food, helping with tasks around the house, and visits throughout this difficult journey.
