Loyce Anne Craig-Mills passed away Friday, September 15, 2023.

Services will be held in Big Spring, TX Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the pavilion on top of Scenic Mountain from 12 – 4PM.

Loyce Anne Craig-Mills was born January 25, 1951 in Amarillo, TX to James Owen Craig and Ilda Vernelle Whitten-Craig. She was the oldest of four girls. Growing up she lived in Sunray, TX before moving to Farwell, TX.

As a child she enjoyed traveling which included every state in the United States of America, every province in Canada and six other countries. When she was not traveling she enjoyed exploring back-roads with her three younger sisters.
In 1973 she met and married Richard Lee Mills while working as a cosmetologist before moving to Howard County Texas, she then devoted her time to raising her family which included her three sons, Matthew Lee Mills, Kerry Ryan Mills, and Nicolas Craig Mills. Later in life they adopted their oldest grandson, Brody Chase Mills.

She enjoyed telling stories about her sisters and herself as children, and her three sons’ childhood but most of all she loved to spoil all of her grandchildren and listen to Harry Styles.

Loyce is preceded in death by her younger sister, Nella Beth Craig; mother, Ilda “Nelle”; father, James; daughter-in-law, Rose Elizabeth York Mills; grandson, Gage Kenneth Richard; husband, Richard Lee; and son, Kerry Ryan.

She is survived by her sisters, Robyn Palady, and Jamye Craig; sons, Matthew Lee (Cody), Nicolas Craig (Laura), Brody Chase, and daughter-in-law, Jodie Lyn Melton Mills; grandchildren, Bethany, Meghan, Jonathan Mills, Kaitlin Sellers-Brannon(Caleb), Alexia Mills(Steven), Dawn “Rey” Mills(Cisco), Alexzander, Camren, Destiny Roland, Alesha Mills, Wendi, Skylar, Mark, Lewis Crabtree; great grandchildren, Uriah Lopez, Liam, Braelyn, Emmy-Lou Brannon, and her soon-to-be born great grandson, Ezra Viera; along with many nieces and nephews.
