Lisa Rena Smith

Lisa(1)

Lisa Rená Smith of Waco, Texas, left this earth and entered Heaven’s gates on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the age of 57. She is survived by her husband, Rufus; her son, Randy and his wife, Beth; daughter, Stephanie; and her grandsons, Daegan and Maverick. She is also survived by her parents, Carol Kemp and Grady Kemp; sisters, Angela Watson and her husband, Ronnie, Pamela Shaw and her husband, Billy, and Sheila Simons, along with her beloved nephews and countless other loving family members. Lisa was always known as the kindest and most genuine person, someone who would go out of her way to help anyone. You always knew she would be there to support you and cheer you on in any capacity she could. Arguably, her favorite role in life was that of mother and grandmother. She lived every second for the time she could spend with her children and grandchildren. And she was always most proud of her family and the closeness and comradery they all shared – especially between her mother and sisters. She never missed an opportunity to tell everyone how proud she was of them or how much she loved them.  While our hearts and lives will never be the same, they are all infinitely better because she was a part of them.

We will be celebrating Lisa’s beautiful life on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Bible-Way Church – 2800 Gurley Avenue, Waco, Texas 76711.  The service will begin at 2pm with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall. Flowers can be sent directly to the church on Tuesday, for delivery between 11am – 1pm. (For flower delivery, please come to the double glass doors in the metal building under the awning.)
