Lee Michael Ragland

Ragland

Lee Michael Ragland, age 64, of Waco, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Memorial Service: 3PM Friday, January 27 at Central Christian Church 4901 Lake Shore Dr, Waco, TX 76710

Lee was born January 10, 1959 to Tom and Jacqueline Ragland. Growing up, Lee was an active little league player and continued playing through his teenage years. Because of his height, he was able to excel as a first baseman in high school. Years later, Lee filled the role as “coach” for his children’s teams, passing on his love for baseball to many of his players. Two of Lee’s favorite hobbies were playing billiards and poker. While he would rarely turn down the chance to join local tournaments, he also enjoyed traveling to casinos with his son, Andrew. Whether it was a quick trip to Shreveport or a long trip to Vegas, Lee spent a lot of time doing what he loved.

As a local Wacoan, Lee could rarely go anywhere without bumping into someone he knew. Whether he had known someone from playing little league together, or meeting them through his active-role in the Waco real estate scene, he never met a stranger. Lee was a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer them on. He was always committed to supporting “his team”. Later on, Lee dedicated many Sundays to serving at Church Under the Bridge with Central Christian Church. His children enjoyed years of being able to serve alongside him as he taught them how to outreach to people who needed to feel the love of the Lord.

Lee was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Ragland.

Lee is survived by his father, Tom L. Ragland; son, Andrew Ragland (Angela); son, Michael Ragland (Kaitlyn); daughter, Lauryn Ragland; grandchildren, Makayla, Taylar, and Andrew Jr.; sister, Rebecca Ragland Metoyer (Lou); and nephew, Skylar de Brun.

Memorial contributions can be made to Church Under The Bridge.
