Kevin Dwayne Dawkins

Dawkins1

Kevin Dawkins, 49, of Waco, passed away, April 16th, 2024 at Baylor, Scott and White – Hillcrest Medical Center. Kevin was born on May 21, 1974 in Waco, Texas but also lived for a time in California.

Memorial Service with Military Honors: 2pm, Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Lake Shore Funeral Home

Kevin served in the United States Army National Guard and performed active-duty combat operations with the U.S. Army earning numerous medals, citations, and accolades. He was a very active person, who never met a stranger and always wanted the best for everyone and tried to make everyone laugh. He was very traditional, wise, and “old school,” trying to teach people the proper way of doing things.

He was an amazing man, husband, brother, and father. Upon meeting him, he would typically start the conversation by bragging about his children, his in-law children, his step children, and grandchildren. Kevin was very proud of everything they did, he was truly a family man.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother Mattie Fuller and her husband William; older brother Clifton; and brother-in-law, Victor.

Kevin is survived by his wife Nicole; mother-in-law, Kathy; father, Clifton; sons, Jaquan (Rashaunette), Trey, Terrance, Mitchell, Cade, and Bryson; daughters, Elicea (Blake), Arianna, Jaiden (Sammy), Jaylen (Xavier), Cadi, and Anjoli (Jerwayne); grandchildren, Elijah, Michael, Khaza, and Emoni. He is also survived by his big family of brothers and sisters, Valerie, Sharell (Roy), Kim (Andre), Tonya (Brandon), J. Sherelle, Paulette, Loretta, William Jr. (Kim), Darren, Steve, Michael, Clifton, and William.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his wife and family.
