Keith Anthony Cosby passed away peacefully in Waco, Texas on September 10, 2023 at the age of 70.  Keith was born on February 24, 1953, in Waco Texas, to Ulysses Cosby and Alberta Elliott Cosby.  Keith was the eldest of two children. Keith married Wendy Sue Robinson and together they had one child: Victoria.

After graduating from Jefferson Moore High School, Keith started a 48 year career in the Service Department at Bird Kultgen Ford in Waco, Texas. Keith loved his job and was very dedicated.  He took great pride in the privilege of interacting with customers and helping with other tasks. He loved talking to customers as he drove them to and from locations within the Waco community.  The customers loved Keith and often asked for him or about him personally. While employed at Bird Kultgen Ford, Keith received “Employee of The Year” more than once for his loyalty and dedication.  Keith loved people and never met a stranger. On most days Keith could be found eating his favorite food “fried chicken” at Bush’s Chicken. If you did not see Keith at Bush’s Chicken, you may have seen him at Fazoli’s or another restaurant because he loved to eat and loved food. Keith was kind and thoughtful. He will be missed and remembered by the many whom he came in contact with daily.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents: Ulysses and Alberta Cosby. He is survived by his daughter, Victoria Jordan (Steven) of Terrell Texas; his sister, Debra Gail Johnson of Waco, Texas; nephew, Robert Louis Johnson, Jr. of Newark, NJ; niece, Misti Mostiller (Steven) of Robinson, TX; granddaughter, Andrea Janae Jordan; grandson, George Anthony Jordan; daughters he assisted in rearing, Ra’Sheeda Taylor of San Antonio, Texas; Destinee’ Galbert of Waco, Texas and a host of other beloved relatives and dear friends.

Janice and I offer our condolences to Keith’s family. I first met Keith when I was a Bird-Kultgen customer. Later when I went to work for Bird-Kultgen, Keith was one of the first to welcome me that first day after I parked my car. He had just come to check on me and see if I needed help. He didn’t know I was coming to work. That’s an example of how Keith made some many friends and was so well thought of. Keith always had a smile and he could brighten up a hard day when one visited with him . He loved to talk about family and trips he had taken. I alaways enjoyed him talking about them. He loved work, he loved life, and he loved his family. I believe Keith is in heaven. Very few people I’ve known deserved it more. I would offer “Rest in Peace” but that wouldn’t be Keith’s way. He’s up there looking for stuff to do and asking God, ” What can I do now?” God bless him.

I extend to Keith’s family my condolences. He was very kind, thoughtful, and friendly.
He would always tease me and say, “Remember; I am older than you, Jacki Lynne.”
I would always respond, “No, Keith, you are a 1953, and I am the 1952 baby.”
    He will truly be missed.
May God comfort, strengthen you, and give you peace.
