Judy Ann Vander-Meulen, 75, of McGregor, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024 at a local hospital.

Memorial Service: 10:30AM Saturday, April 13 at First Baptist Church – McGregor with Pastor Terry Johnston officiating.

Judy Ann Snider was born June 11, 1948 in Waco to Robert Samuel Snider, Jr. and Mary Bell (Bowdoin) Snider. She grew up in Crawford and graduated from Crawford High School in 1966. She attended Durham’s Business College in Waco. She began her career working at Barnes Lumber Co in Waco and then Gross-Yowell in Waco. She then started at Keith’s ACE Hardware at the Main Business Office as an Office Manager in 1990, she retired in 2022, after 32 years of service. Judy married Fred Vander-Meulen on July 7, 1967. They had a son, Sam Vander-Meulen on August 29, 1969.  Judy loved watching Hallmark movies and was a big fan of Elvis. She also loved and collected elephants. Family was very important to Judy. She will forever be in the hearts and minds of many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Shirley Mae Snider; and husband of 54 years, Fred Raymond Vander-Meulen.

Survivors include son, Samuel Ray Vander-Meulen (Kimberly); granddaughter, Lexie Ann Vander-Meulen; brother, Robert Dale Snider (Jo Marie); sister, Mary Jean Snider; nephews, Cameron Capps, Brent Capps, and Matthew Lewis; and nieces, Jennifer Hobday, and Angela Saldivar.

Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Bowdoin, Cameron Capps, Brent Capps, Matthew Lewis, Samuel Vander-Meulen, and Tom Cox.
