Juanita Faye Taylor Pace, 88, of Waco, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday morning, March 1, 2023.

A Private Burial will be held at a later date.

Juanita was born October 10, 1934 in Cullman, Alabama to parents, Verner and Lillie Mae McKissack..

She married Arthur Clarence Taylor, Jr. June 6, 1951. To this union four children were born.

She married Simon Garfield Pace, October 21, 1977. Through this union she gained five stepchildren.

She spent most of her life as a homemaker.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and son, Arthur Dale Taylor.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Marie Howard of Ft. Worth; children, Janie Faye Birch of Ft. Worth, Johnny Ray Taylor of Waco, and Vernon Douglas of Groesbeck; stepchildren, Simon Garfield Pace, II, of Dallas, Steven Pace of Florida, Pamela Stephens of Florida, Boyd Pace of Dallas and Richard Pace of Waco; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews

  1. Juanita will be missed by many. Juanita was my stepmother for 44 years, so you could just say she was my Mom too, being there when I needed a Mom. I love you and will truly miss you.

  2. I feel so blessed I had the chance to meet and spend time with this strong, feisty, sweet, sweet woman. My bonus great grandma through my stepdad. She was loving, kind and welcoming to my son and I from the first time we met. When we came over for dinner grandma always made sure she had sweets ready for us 3 cakes at a time! Haha! My favorite was her madarin orange. She was giving and selfless. G and I love you dearly grandma, we will miss you very much and carry you in our hearts.

  3. Granny it’s the day before Christmas Eve 2023 our 1st Christmas with you gone. I’m so sad but know your with dad again (Arthur) and Garfield and cousin Brian. I miss talking to you every two weeks. I wish I could call you 1 last time and see you. Me and Greg talk bout you often and miss you like it was yesterday. See u one day granny…sending hugs 🤗 and love 😘 ❤️ 😘😘 l ove you sooo much 💞miss your voice and my favorite peanut butter cookies ❤️
