Jose Cabret Camacho, 85, of Waco, was called to his heavily home on November 25, 2023 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple, TX.

Jose was born on March 30, 1938 in Vieques, Puerto Rico to parents Vicente Cabret and Justina Camacho. He lived in Texas for close to 40 years. He was a Construction Engineering Supervisor and Soldier in the United States Army for 27 years. Jose was highly decorated during his years of service in Vietnam and Korea, earning a Bronze and Silver Star for Gallantry along with other service awards. He had formed many lifelong friendships throughout his years, and his memory will be greatly cherished by those who knew him.
His favorite pastimes were spending time outside manicuring his lawn and washing his trucks, watching a good western show, and fishing.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Vicente and Justina Cabret and, sisters, Rosita Cabret and Selenia Cabret.
Left to cherish his memory include, his wife, Maria Cabret; sons, Jose Cabret, Jr. and Martin Arriaga; daughter, Adyadet Cabret; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
