John Wesley “Hoss” Holmes

John W. Holmes, 70, passed away May 29, 2018.

Service Information:

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00a.m., Monday, June 4, 2018, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4911 Interstate 35 N, Waco, Texas 76705

 

John was born in Satin, Texas June 26, 1947 to Milton Jones and Lou Annie Degrate (Jones). As an infant, he was adopted by Edward and Theodocia Holmes. He married the love of his life, Minnie Lee Tucker, on July 5, 1972.

John Had a fruitful career with Kaiser hospital that spanned over three decades. He was a great outdoorsman, that greatly enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed cultivating his family garden. He loved Jehovah and attended Bellmead congregation since 2006.

John is preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Lee Holmes; daughters, Stephanie, Sarah, Hollye, Ellan ; grandchildren, Jimmeka, Jimmeshia, and Benjamin; great-grandchildren Ja’Ron, and McKenzie; siblings Nina, Robbee, MJ (Minnie) Kathleen (Martin), and Tempe (Gregory);also a host of loved nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family gives special thanks for the loving care by Texas Home Health Hospice Care staff and all the family and friends that showed their love and support in so many ways.
