John Earl LaBove

John LaBove at Wedding(1)

John Earl LaBove found peace in the early hours on December 7, 2023 in Waco, Texas. John was born in southern Georgia on January 1, 1957 to Adam LaBove and Mary Alice LaBove (née White), and passed after 66 years packed with unbelievable experiences.

John was a collector. Among other things, he collected coins, books, art, flamingoes, and friends. He could make a friend anywhere he went and the number of lives he touched over the years is too numerous to count. Between an amusement park, a racetrack, a bookstore, a few newspapers, photography, flea markets, pool halls, poker games, and various other occupations, John amassed multiple lifetimes of experience and connections into his too few years with us.

John LaBove may be gone, but his legacy will persist in the hearts and minds of many.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Adam Jr; sister-in-law, Rosalyn LaBove (née Mitchell), and niece, Crystal Bowen.

He is survived by his wife, Karen LaBove; children, Gwendolynn (Charles) Murdock and Josephine (William) Bailey; son, Jeremy (Misty) Nitzschke; daughter, Desiree Nitzschke; grandchildren, McKayla, Bruce, Crystal, Darien, Abigail, Andrew, and Sarah; great-granddaughter, Rayvn. John is also survived by his close family friends, Eve and Norman Bowen, their daughter Shannon Bowen, and dozens of families of cousins, nieces, nephews and all the types of grands possible that will note his passing.

No services are planned at this time.
