I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Summers passing. Such a nice man I knew the family from Emmanuel Baptist Church. Such a great family they raised. Prayers for all.

  8. I remember Mr. Summers when I was just a kid. Shirley, my wife Mary (Olson) and I all lived in the same neighborhood and went to Alta Vista elementary together.Mr. Summers(Joe) was a motorcycle officer with Waco PD and so was my dad. I can remember how much respect I had for Joe and how much he and my dad influenced me when I was young. I later became an Officer at WPD and talked with Joe on many occasions. I am so sorry for your loss and pray that God is with the family during this time of healing. Dennis and Mary Tynes
