James "Jimmy" Head, Jr., 65, of China Spring, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012. Memorial services will be at 3PM, Thursday, December 27, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco, with Pastor Judy Lewis officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Jimmy was born July 24, 1947, in Waco to James O. and Charlsie (Baldridge) Head. He graduated from Waco High School in 1966, and on December 5 of that same year he married Linda Stewart. Jimmy worked at the Waco Tribune-Herald as a supervisor for 35 years, retiring in 2001. His family was his main priority in life. And he adored his dogs and cats, especially Zoe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother, and a nephew.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of China Spring; son, Anthony "Tony" Head and wife, Shannon of Hewitt; daughter, Wendy Head Gordon of China Spring; grandchildren, Hailey, Dylan and Camryn; nieces, Jinny Mohan of Waco, and Julie Head of Austin; and numerous other relatives.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of the Scott and White Cardiac ICU for their exceptional care and compassion.
