Jessie V. Kruger, age 84 of Waco, TX passed away on January 28, 2024.

Visitation: 6-8PM, Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Lake Shore Funeral Home
Funeral Service: 10AM, Friday, February 2, 2024 at St Mark Lutheran Church

Jessie was born on December 14, 1939, in Dallas, Texas. She was the fourth child of Alma and Jesse Skinner.

Jessie was a devoted wife and mother. After the kids graduated, Jessie worked for Reed’s Flowers, Automatic Chef and the Midway ISD Cafeteria. She loved working with the children. Her hobby continued to be making floral arrangements. She enjoyed doing that until her fingers and hands were no longer able.

On July 27, 1954, Jessie married Billy D. Kruger. They were married for 69 years. He continued to be always the love of her life. Jessie and Bill had four children: Bill Jr, Deborah, Terri, and Robert (George). In 1973, through the Foreign Exchange Student program, a fifth child came to them- John Poulsen.

She was extremely devoted to her family, and she always put the love of her family before herself. Jessie was quite active at her church, St Mark Lutheran Church. She had many lifelong friends within her Church.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and son-in-law, Kevin Dicks.

Jessie is survived by her beloved husband, Bill; children, Bill Jr and wife Mary, Deborah and husband Marshall Ricks, Terri Dicks, Robert, and John Poulsen and wife Pia. Jessie had twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Bradley Ricks, Timothy Dicks, Anthony Olivarez, Clinton Bray, Heath Drake, and Michael Aldridge.

A special thank you to Pastor Kolb and all the congregation of St Mark Lutheran Church. An additional thank you to Pastor Kobler for his great gift of song and Phil Mott for his amazing talent in playing the organ.

You have been my Mom, Mamaw, and at times my best friend to call on. No matter what I needed you always found a way to be there for me.
