Jerry Allene Lawson, 72, of Lacy Lakeview, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at her residence. Graveside services will be 2PM Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Steve Adams officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Tuesday, January 11th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Jerry was born April 4, 1938 in Waco and graduated from Connally High School in 1956 where she was homecoming queen. She met her one true love drag racing a 57 Chevy Power Pack in downtown Waco (which she won) and married Bill Lawson on October 5, 1957 and spent 30 years being a Air Force wife and mother.

She loved traveling around the world, camping, Galveston, TX and cooking. She was a life member of the VFW auxiliary, retired from TSTC, and a graduate from MCC. She was a dedicated mother, wife, and homemaker. She raised her family as military wives must do, often alone.

She was preceded in death by parents, Allen and Jean Mooney Crider.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are her husband of 53 years, Bill Lawson of Lacy Lakeview; daughter, Lori Ragsdale and fianc
