Jeanne Kay (Mezzles) Adler, 71, a lifetime resident of Waco, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 with her family by her side, after a short battle with cancer.

Funeral Service: 10am Friday, January 12 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Ernie Christie officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation: 6 to 8PM Thursday, January 11 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel

Jeanne was born November 27, 1952 in Waco to Joe and Doris (Gerza) Mezzles.

Jeanne graduated from Richfield High Schol and obtained an associate degree from McLennan Community College. She worked in various secretarial positions until she retired. Later, she became the church secretary at Lake Shore Church of Christ until her illness prevented her from working. She was an active member of Lake Shore Church of Christ.

Jeanne was a devoted and loving grandma to her two grandsons. Her church family described her as sweet and quiet. Her actions always spoke louder than her words. She loved her church family and enjoyed helping them in any way she could.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Doris Mezzles; brother, Don Mezzles; and
aunt and uncle, Carolyn and Frank Gerza.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Shelly Linch (Steve Hill), and Amber Wolf; brothers, Dennis Mezzles (Donna) and Kenneth Mezzles (Jenine); grandsons, Jordan Davis and Cash Wolf; nieces, Amanda Samaniego (Michael), and Maggie Cornelius (Joseph); nephews, Jason Mezzles (Mary), Nick Mezzles (Laura), and Aaron Mezzles.
