James Clyde Johnson “JC”

James Clyde Johnson “JC” ,64, of Como, Texas passed away October 10, 2022 in Krugerville, Texas surrounded by loved ones. He was born February 18, 1958 in Hillsboro, Texas to Ancel Clyde Johnson and Ruby Pearl (Mitchell) Johnson. James married Terri Lea Parker on February 14, 1997.

Visitation: 7-9 pm Friday, October 14 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.

Please note: Waco area road closures and traffic delays are widely expected for this weekend. Expect delays and plan accordingly.

Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Saturday, October 15 at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Interment immediately following service at Wortham Bend Cemetery, 566 Oak Grove Loop, China Spring, Texas.

He was a 1976 graduate of RL Turner High School. After graduation James went to work for Delta Steel. In 1986, James began his career at Trinity Industries. He retired from Trinity in 2020 after 34 years. James was of the Christian faith. He was an expert welder and could build anything with his hands. James was also an avid outdoors man and loved hunting, fishing, and spending time at the lake.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Ancel and Ruby; sisters, Hazel Louis Cooper and Helen Johnson Welch; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Ray Welch.

James is survived by his son, JT and wife Stephanie; daughter, Dusty and husband Dale, and son Beau and wife Kiley; stepsons, Alan Parker and wife Jessica, and Tyler Parker; also survived by 16 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of many longtime friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James’ memory to First Rock Fellowship, (Children/Youth Camp in memo), PO Box 3, Aubrey, Texas 76227. Jay volunteered yearly with the annual BBQ to send kids to camp.

Due to many delays and detours on Saturday please give plenty of time to arrive at the funeral home.
