Hercil Napeleon Scott Jr., 67, of Waco, passed away on May 4, 2024.
A memorial service will be held at 11AM, Saturday, May 18th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, Waco, Texas.
Hercil was born December 30, 1956 in Gholson, Texas to Frankie (Clater) and Hercil N. Scott, Sr. He attended local schools and after graduation, he joined the Army and served in the military for several years. During his service he was awarded the Army Service Medal, the Overseas Service Medal and attained expert level proficiency in both rifle and grenade. His last duty station was Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
After returning home, he became known as a “jack of all trades”, tackling all sorts of repairs and fix-it projects around McLennan County. A true handyman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Bonnie Anderson, Deidra Harper, and Wendy Long.
Left to cherish his memory are son, Jermaine Scott; grandson Anthony Scott; and sister Janice Toney.
