Hartojo, 86, of Waco, went to be with the Lord of Heaven peacefully in his sleep on October 19, 2023. Hartojo grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia. In May of 2021 he moved to Waco, TX. Hartojo met the love of his life, Tilli Dewi, and they got married on September 17, 1961.
He loved to read, listen to oldies and soft jazz music, spending time with his family, travelling and gathering with his friends for breakfast or lunch.
Hartojo was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Tilli Dewi, his parents and two sisters.
Hartojo is survived by his three children and in laws, Linda Hartojo and husband Russ Notosoedarjo of Waco, TX; Handojo Hartojo and wife Josianna Kwee of Katy, TX and Frida Hartojo and husband Suseno Tjahjo of Mississauga, CA; six grandchildren, Jessica Notosoedarjo, William Hartojo and wife Melissa Oktavia; Philip James, Justin Hartojo, Irene Tjahjo and husband Chiao Chen; and Felicia Tjahjo; two great-grandchildren, Raina Chen and Grayson Hartojo; and many friends and family who loved and admired him.
Hartojo will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His selflessness, dedication, and love for his family will forever be remembered. May his soul rest in peace.
He will be cremated and laid to rest into the open sea as his wishes.
Service dates and times are currently pending. Close friends and family will be personally notified once the services have been scheduled.
