Harold S. Scott, Jr.

Harold Stanley “Man” Scott, Jr., 61, passed away June 1, 2019.  A Celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Lake Shore Funeral Home.  Graveside service will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Doris Miller Park the same day.

Harold was born in Waco, Texas to the late Harold Scott, Sr. and Ernestine “Dolly” Scott.

Harold grew up in Waco.  He attended Jefferson-Moore High School and later attended East Texas State University.  He served briefly in the US Marines before returning home to live in Waco.  Harold spoke fondly of the time spent as a truck driver traveling throughout the country.

Harold accepted Christ at an early age and as a young child attended Bracks Chapel Methodist Church.  When his mother, Rev. Dolly Scott, was appointed to St. James United Methodist Church, Harold transferred his membership there.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Stephen Scott; grandson, Brian Scott; sisters, Junipher Dorsey, Harolyn Brooks, Audrey Williamson and Rhonda Anderson; nephews, Nickolas Dorsey, Teddie Williamson, III and Anthony Williams; niece, Candis Williamson; great nephew and niece, Braxton and Jayla Dorsey; long time companion, Linda Payne; as well as devoted cousins and friends.
