On September 9, 2021, Ginger L. Jean, 83, passed away. The world lost a great Christian woman, mama, grandmother, and great-grandmother, a teacher, a gentle soul, loving and devoted wife and friend.

Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25 at Gerald Cemetery. Visitation will be 45 minutes prior to the service.
To celebrate her life, and in honor of her favorite color, we encourage attendees to wear orange. The family requests that masks be worn with social distancing.

Ginger was born April 29, 1938 in Lometa to Robert and Leta (Owens) Treadwell. She was raised ion Lamesa and graduated from Lamesa High School. She met J.E. Jean in Lamesa, and they were married in 1957. She was a devoted Christian her entire life. They moved to Waco and established Connally Free Will Baptist Church in 1976, where J.E. served as pastor until the time of his death. She worked as a devoted teacher at Oak Lawn Baptist Church Daycare for nearly 20 years. She adored her family. Family and serving the Lord was everything to her.

She was preceded in death by husband, Rev. J.E. Jean; her parents; and brothers, Max Treadwell and Don Treadwell; and son, Ricky Jean.

She is survived by her sons, Jackie Jean and wife Barbara, Terry Jean and Mike Trevinson, and Steve Jean and wife, Gena; granddaughters, Melany Jean, Typhani Jean, Krystal Cehand and husband, Cayle, and Ashley Jackson; grandsons, Jacob Jean, Caleb Jean, and Sean Prisco and wife Danielle; great-grandchildren, Abrianna, Ryan, Callie, Braxton, and Emarie; brother, Robert Howard Treadwell and wife Gloria; sister, Wanda Delores Dietzel; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
