Mrs Evelyn is someone who I always counted on being a loving, genuine person at the church I grew up in… one of my first and favorite memories of her is of her singing "Oh how I love Him, how I adore Him" in a service. A beautiful voice but her passion carried the song. She will be missed but take comfort knowing she lived a life that made a difference…

  6. To Janice and all family members. Evelyn was so very special, loved by many including me, and will missed dearly.

  7. Hey Mrs.Brown ha I’m going to
miss you….but I know you are in a better place now. I love you mrs Brown…

  8. Life is a precious gift and all too soon it can be taken away. thanks to God that we have a hope for the future. This was made possible by Jesus dying. While you grieve now on the passing away of Evelyn, just think about the wonderful future that awaits her, when she is brought back to life, just as Jesus did when his friend Lazarus died. John 5:28,29 mentions the resurrection to life on earth, Psalm 37:11,29 tell about abundant peace forever. Please accept my sympathy and condolences.

  38. When I began attending church again about 12 yrs. ago, and regularly, at Bellmead Calvary Baptist, Evelyn became my 1st Sunday school teacher. She was a wonderful teacher, making the Bible come alive and enabling me to see things, understand things, for the first time. I was taking my Christian ‘baby steps’, at last, and many, many years after accepting Christ as my Savior. I thank God for giving Evelyn the gift of teaching His word. As God’s instrument to guide me, Evelyn helped me begin my long delayed Christian journey. When the Lord led her to teach in a primary class, yeah, I didn’t want to lose her but I also knew the blessing her teaching would be to those little ones. When I needed help in the church food pantry, she stepped up and was one of the 1st workers I had there. When she had to step down because of the driving distance to church, and seek a church closer to her China Spring home, I sure hated to see her go, but understood. I missed her dearly. I can’t wait to see her again.
Charlotte, Jeanne, Janice and family, you know what a jewel she was, but I want to say so any way "She was a jewel!" and oh, such a blessing. God bless and comfort you all during this time.

  39. Mrs. Evelyn was a very special lady that loved the Lord and did great service for her church and for the Lord. She always had a smile on her face. Charlotte and family my prayers are with you.
