Doris Fitzhugh, 94 of Waco passed away early Friday morning June 16, 2023.
Graveside services will be held at China Spring Cemetery at a later date.
She was born to Luther and Audry Newton in Bridgeport, Texas February 27, 1929. Doris was Manager of Hillcrest Plaza Apartments until her retirement. She was a member of Bosqueville Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Audry Newton; brother, Gary Newton; sisters, Mary Anne Kelly, Marie Jaynes, and Helen Mathis.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Patricia Vanek; sons, Robert Fitzhugh, Johnny Fitzhugh and Franklin Fitzhugh, 11 grandchildren, and more than 10 great grandchildren.

Sorry to hear of this. I think she lived a good life and surely did raise some wonderful children. I am sure she will be missed very much. Glad to hear she lived at her home being able to avoid facility care. Blessings to her family.
