Condolence Messages

  1. The Day God Called You Home
God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You’ve left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
You live on through your children, you’re always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home

  16. Shawn Shaffer,RN (THHH)

It was an honor and a blessing to be apart of Dean’s life. Even though the time we spent together was short God knew what he had planned when he allowed our paths to cross. Dean was a very special man and showed great Love to all those around him. From the first time I met Dean he made me feel like apart of his family. It was awesome to hear him say "I accepted Jesus and as long as I have Jesus it will all be okay, I can’t go anywhere until he calls me home." His only concern during his last days was to be able to let his family know how much he loved them and he needed to know they would be okay when the Lord called him home. God allowed Dean to share the last few days with family and friends at his side. A true desire fulfilled. God is awesome…
    To: Kathy/Angie/Wendy/Doug & entire family:
Remember the words spoken, times shared, love shown, and most of all the promise of seeing Dean again…You guys are an awesome family and I am so thankful God chose me to be apart of Dean’s care.
    Love you all,
    May God Bless you,
    Shawn

My father’s dad is Delmer Hicks. My dad hasn’t talked to him since he was a little kid. I wish Delmer could be here to see my dad?
