Danny Mack Phillips

Danny Mack Phillips, 83, of Valley Mills, passed away at his home, December 18, 2023.

Danny was born June 7, 1940, in Lubbock, TX. Ever the smiling boy and the handsome teenage class clown, Danny brought joy and laughter to all of his friends and close-knit family in Pampa, Tx.

After High School, he joined the Air Force, traveling overseas to Korea and Japan for a year and spent the remainder of his service stationed at Travis AFB in California.

In the early 70s, he met Cindy Lynn McCormick and they Married in October of 1974, moving to Kaufman, Tx in 1978 to raise their daughter. Danny and Cindy were married for 49 years. Danny was a Commercial Construction Superintendent until his retirement a decade ago. Upon moving to the Clifton/Valley mills area, Danny and Cindy enjoyed the beautiful view from their home. He loved his horse, Blue, and cats Earl and Termite. He listened to old country music, tinkered in his shop, and always had witty quips and observations.

Danny was preceded in Death by his parents, Vesta Westine Conner Phillips, and Joseph Mitchell Phillips.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughters, Devon Phillips (David) of San Antonio; Danell Phillips of Fort Worth; brothers, Terry Phillips, and Ted Phillips, also of Fort Worth; as well as countless lifelong friends neighbors, and relatives that loved him and will miss him terribly.
