Charlie Schumann, 50, of Hamilton, passed away Friday, June 6th, 2014.

GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICES: 11AM, Thursday, June 12th, 2014 at Rock Church Cemetery in Cranfills Gap, Texas

Charlie Schumann, Jr. of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2014 at the home of his long time friend and caregiver, Kathey Renken. Graveside services will be 11AM Thursday, June 12th at Old Rock Church Cemetery in Cranfills Gap.No visitation is planned.

Charlie was born November 8,1963 to Charles and Carolyn (Christianson) Schumann. Charlie lived in Hamilton most of his life. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1982 and in 1986 graduated from Tarleton State University. Charlie was self employed at time of death as a farmer and rancher. He loved his work, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Schumann; grandparents, Walter and Selma Schumann, and Ted and Jewell Christianson; and his aunt, EllaMae Schumann.

Survivors include his daughter, Megan Lane Schumann of Goldthwaite; father, Charles Schumann, Sr. of Hamilton; sisters, Sherry Woodyard and husband Curtis of Austin, Charlene Glimp and husband Bryan of Austin, and Sharla Resseguie of Cedar Park; nephews and nieces, Brandon Woodyard, Ashley Woodyard, Karl Glimp, Kristen Gilliam, Dylan Resseguie and Jewell Resseguie; great niece, Jayden Gilliam; uncle, Gary Schumann and wife Sherry; many cousins and other relatives and many dear friends.

Pallbearers will be John Isensee, Marshall Winters, Craig Jones, Ray Hammond, Coy Hammond and Jeff Avenshine.

Honorary Pallbearers are Winters Fox, Nolan Green, Andy Dowell, Jesse Haines and Charlie Elston.

Memorials to Old Rock Church in Cranfills Gap and Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville.

Special Thanks to Kathey Renken, The Winters Family, Barbara Sellers-Sanders, and also to all of his dear friends that showed their love with visits, cards, phone calls, and food. The Schumann Family cannot express to you how much the out-pouring of love and prayers has meant to each of us!

    Not sure what to say to say that will make thing better, but I will try.
    Last I seen Charlie was about 3-4 years ago, it was like we were still in school and back home in Hamilton. Laughing cutting up and talking about days gone by and catching up. It was good times and I will never forget his positive attitude and smile.
    Charlie my friend you will be missed, but seen again soon.
