Charles was born October 13, 1921 in Doon, Iowa to Stephen and Lillian Louise (Kluter) LeMonds. He served with the U.S. Navy and was a welder by trade.
Survivors include sister, Sally Fayles of Arkansas; brother, Collin LeMonds of California; brother, James LeMonds of Nevada; and sister, Twyla Biswell of Axtell.
