Carolyn R. Parker, 58, of China Spring, passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allen Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Mrs. Parker will be available for viewing Tuesday morning. Thoughts and memories may be

Carolyn was born on January 2, 1951, to Emil and Oveda Springman in Waco, Texas. She attended Connally High School where she made lifelong friends. She always had a love for music and excelled in band. Earning her degree in respiratory therapy, she worked for Providence Hospital and later was a manager for Allcare Medical. On April 26, 1986, she married Bobby Parker in a garden ceremony. Carolyn loved spending time with her family at their ranch. She enjoyed watching their horses with her beloved dog, Beauty, by her side. Her hobbies were collecting antiques, decorating and entertaining. Carolyn was treasured by her family and friends for her joyous personality, infectious laugh, and her warm generous nature.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Don Springman.
Remembering her with love are her husband, her sons, Patrick Springman, Jeremy Roerick and Matthew Parker. Brother, Norris Springman. Grandchildren, Brittany, Mia, Brooke and Samantha. Daughters-in-law, Angie and Tamara. Special nieces, Debi Pick and Teresa Smith; Special cousins, Ronnie Bass and Rae Ann Byrd. Special friends, Jeff & Tricia Garrett, Scott Gibbs and Cindy and Richard Studer.

    So sorry to hear the news of the passing of your Wife. I realize she has suffered many years fighting the dreaded desease that has taken so many of our loved ones. I lost my Mother and Father to Cancer both having suffered several years before loosing the battle to overcome the silent killer. It has been many years since their death but I still have loving memories of of the times we spent together as a family.

    Through God’s grace and compassion you will be able to deal with the loss of your loved one and understand that she is in a better place free of the pain and suffering.
