Bonnie Rice passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017. An outdoor fellowship to celebrate Bonnie’s life was held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the home of Troy and Sandra Fellers in Moody, Texas.

She was born to Gene and Vona (Nichols) Tennison on March 19, 1950 in Waco, Texas. Bonnie graduated from University High School, earned an Associate’s degree from 4-C Business College, and she volunteered at the USO. In addition to her love of reading, she was very artistic and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Her two younger sisters adored her and were her constant companions.

Bonnie married Alvin Ray Rice in 1968. Together they had three children, and Bonnie was a stay-at-home mom for many years. She enjoyed a second career at the Avalon Center whereshe loved and counseled many troubled teenage girls, retiring only because of declining health.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her paternal grandparents, Bob and Lola Tennison; and her maternal grandparents, Walter and Maudie Nichols.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Tammy Rice; daughter, Melissa and her husband, Mike Brown; son, Michael Rice; sister, Teresa Eubanks; sister, Darla and husband, Al Urbanovsky; grandsons, Christopher Rice, and Alvin Felan; granddaughters, Candice Page, Brittany Andrews, AbriannaEickenhorst, and Raven Felan; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many nieces, nephews cousins, aunts and uncles. Bonnie is also survived by several people very dear to her including her former husband, Alvin Rice and his wife Carolyn who became a good friend; Christina Felan; Tanya Murnahan and her family; and Rene Rice and her family.
