Barzie Blev Parker

Barzie Blev Parker of Waco, Texas went to be with the Lord on September 6, 2018 at the age of 88.

Memorial Service: 2:00 PM Saturday, September 15 at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, in Waco, TX.

He was born September 13, 1929 to Jimmie Lee and Jeff Parker in Coahoma, TX. After graduating from Loraine High School, Barzie went to work for Shell Corporation and was employed there for 38 years before retiring.
Mr. Parker married Joyce Jones in December 31, 1949. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Pamela Kay and Gary Lynn. They made their home in Denver City, Texas and were faithful members of the Denver City Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death his parents, Thomas Jefferson Parker and Jimmie Lee Westbrook Parker; grandparents, Blev Amalec Parker and Willie Gillstrip Parker; five uncles, Bill Parker, BA Parker, Jack Parker, Menville Parker and Robert Parker; and one aunt, Irene Perez.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Parker; his daughter, Pam Holmes and her husband, Russ of Amarillo; a son, Gary Parker and wife Gayla Parker of Waco, TX; four grandchildren, Russell Brandon Holmes, Cinnamon Kaye Holmes, Matthew Scott Parker and Kathryn Nicole Parker; seven great-grandchildren, Justin Shane Holmes, Devin Parker Holmes, Sybil Marie Holmes, Madison Sloan, Lillie Sloan, Isabel Alyse De La Pena and Aaron Blake De La Pena.
