Jean Williams, 79, of Waco, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital after a nearly thirty-year battle with cancer.

Born Alma Jean Moran on January 12, 1944, in Douglas, Arizona, she was the sixth child of father, Elmo Grant Moran and mother, Mary Ann Moran (Evans). Jean was a real estate and insurance professional. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, playing cards, instructing dance and was technologically gifted. She was an avid painter and dancer and loved spending time at the beach.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-four years, Harold G. Edwards; and seven siblings.
Jean was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband and companion of ten years, Thomas Williams of Waco; daughter, Trina Abbe of Waco; son, Jeromy Edwards of North Carolina; brothers, James Moran and Gary Moran, both of Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family invites all of Jean’s friends to come celebrate her life with them, and requests in lieu of gifts or flowers, a donation be made in her name to the Baylor Scott & White McClinton Cancer Center, Waco.
