James “Sonny” Rawlinson, 80, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021.
Graveside Service: 2 pm Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Rosemound Cemetery. Afterwards, the family will gather at Brame Park in Bellmead to celebrate his life.
James passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 7, 1940 to Walter and Leona Rawlinson. Everyone called him Sonny. He was a retired T.V. service man. He was also a musician. Many loved hearing Sonny play Johnny Cash on the guitar and along with his fiddle. He enjoyed playing pool in tournaments.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sandra Rawlinson; daughter, Dena Rawlinson; step-daughter Angela Garrett (Michael); granddaughter, Lacy Hunsuckle, and many other grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Joyce Ivy, Charlotte Rawls, Pam McCurdy, Sharon Thomas (Jackie), and Rebecca McCurdy (J.R.).
