Todd Courtney

Walter Todd Courtney, 40, of Waco, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 18th due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident.

Funeral service: 2PM Wednesday, April 23rd at Church of the Open Door with Pastor Ronnie Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.

Visitation: 6 to 8PM Tuesday, April 22nd at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Todd will be available for public viewing starting at 10AM on Tuesday.

Todd was born July 29, 1973 in Ft. Lewis, WA to John L. and Rosemary (Davies) Courtney. He resided many years in northwest Arkansas. He had many fond childhood memories and friends there. Todd moved to Texas in 2003. Shortly after moving to Texas, he found his church home which was very important to him. He also was a member of Warrior Heart Ministry. Todd had a very outgoing personality; he never met a stranger. He was a prolific song writer and philosopher and he loved the Lord Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Mary Davies, and Charles and Lillian Courtney.

Survivors include wife Adelaida Courtney; children, Ross Courtney, Lazaro Rodriguez, Claribel Rodriguez, and Marvin Rodriguez; four grandchildren; parents, John L. and Rosemary Courtney; brother, John Craig Courtney and wife Angela; special maternal aunt, Janet Jasek and husband Frank; maternal uncle, Jerry Davies; six paternal uncles; three paternal aunts; and numerous other relatives; and many, many friends.
