Daylen Anthony Cervantez, 19, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 in Waco, Texas.

Service Information: Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, limited seating will be available. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020 at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Due to limited capacities, we ask that you pay your respects in a timely fashion so that others are able to pay their respects.

Daylen was born on April 30, 2001 to Michael Cervantez, Jr. and Minnie Reyes in Waco.  He was very outgoing, loved music and being with family & friends.  Daylen always made sure to make you smile and lit up the room with his presence.

Daylen was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Janie Rodriguez, Pete Cervantez, Raymond Rodriquez, Bonnie N. Reyes and Lupe Garcia-Reyes; great-uncle, Pete Cervantez; and brother, Kenton Ybarra.

Survivors include his father, Michael Cervantez, Jr. and wife, Valerie Ochoa, of Temple; mother, Minnie Ann Reyes of Waco; grandparents, Michael Cervantez, Patricia Cervantez, Dolores Reyes-Vital and Marc Vital all of Waco; brothers, Michael Cervantez, III, and wife, Daisy Gonzales, Jonathan Cervantez and wife, Alexandria Vasquez, and Isaac Cervantez and wife, Alyssa Herrera, all of Waco; great-grandmother, Tony Cervantez; aunts, Celeste Hooks and husband, Jason, and Kirston Reyes; uncles, Raymond Cervantez and Pete Reyes; step-sister, Angelina Ochoa; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like thank everyone who have come together to help the family during their time of bereavement.
